Jehovah's Witness Angela Jean Shipperley, 36, died on August 20, 2003, 12 days after giving birth by caesarean section to a premature baby boy at Northwick Park Hospital.


Suicide and Murder

Robert Bryant killed his children and wife, then himself Feb. 23, 2002. Bryant was expelled from the congregation about three years ago after he announced that he no longer accepted its religious teachings.

Captain Craig Button, 32, Crashed a Military A-10 Thunderbolt jet April 2, 1997, his parents were Jehovah's Witnesses AND were in Tucson days before his death. They told investigators they had talked with their son about the end of the world.


Shunned & Disfellowshipped

When Jehovah's Witnesses excommunicate, or ''disfellowship,'' a member, even the closest human ties can be severed without question. August 22, 2002. After 20 years as a Jehovah’s Witness, Shirley Jackson of St. Petersburg was “disfellowshipped,” or excommunicated, in 1995. Family members and friends still in the religion are forbidden to have contact with a shunned individual.
